The Upstream Chandelier is part of Helen Gifford’s Urchin collection, striking a fine balance between the organic and elegant. Handcrafted by the artist herself in her New York studio, each sculptural piece is comprised of hundreds of satin spun or clear flame-tipped bulbs suspended by a metal armature, collaborating to give off a variegated effect on their immediate surroundings. Available in lengths of 4′, 5′ or 7′, the Upstream Chandelier is available in two styles, as the Urchin style with clear bulbs, also available as the Urchin Pendant, (shown in photos 8-9), or as the Silver Lining style with frosted satin-spun white bulbs, which is also available as the Silver Lining Pendant, (shown in photos 1-7).
