Bocci 28 Sculptural Cable
The Bocci 28 Sculptural Cable is a result of a glass blowing technique developed by Omer Arbel whereby air pressure is intermittently introduced into and then removed from an heated and then rapidly cooled glass matrix. The result is a distorted spherical shape with a composed collection of inner shapes, one of which is made of opaque milk glass. Each pendant is unique in composition, diameter and sometimes shape. Being a Sculptural Cable, this piece is designed to occupy a horizontal plane that deviates from its gravitational directive, with the use of a black or brushed nickel sculptural cable. Fixtures are hung from any number of optional suspension points mounted away from the canopy, available with the number of pendants ranging from 1 to 61; custom configurations are also available.
