Social Media / Marketing Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Social Media and Marketing Manager to join our team, working in a hybrid setting, and taking our social media and marketing efforts to the next level.

We are looking for someone who is excited by a challenge, and is ready to dive in and make a mark for themselves.  We want to work with an individual who is ready to lead, is full of great ideas, has solid experience and a keen design eye, and who possesses the ability to implement / execute / organize.  This is an exciting opportunity for someone with an exceptional skill set to create their own department and feel the pride of seeing the business grow, based on their efforts.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Absorb all of the details of our business, getting to know our vendors, products, employees and company inside and out.
  • Based on that ongoing knowledge, will create a far-reaching strategy, including but not limited to all of the points below, implementing each portion along the way.
  • Must be capable of sifting through product information to absorb and organize, with photo editing and graphic design skills to use that info to create marketing materials.
  • The person needs to be design-driven and motivated by a challenge, with a great aesthetic sense, creativity, excellent written communication, and a deep understanding of ongoing social media trends and algorithms.  Additionally, should be proficient in using Photoshop, Canva and other tools to create engaging content.
  • This person needs to be exceptionally organized, capable of juggling numerous projects simultaneously.
  • Must eat, sleep and breathe all aspects of social media.  Love of interiors / furniture / lighting is a definite plus!
  • Needs to have strong skills in photography, video, video editing, and graphic design.
  • Needs to be able to travel to vendors and designer installs to gather content.
 

SOCIAL MEDIA:  Organic and paid

Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook and TikTok:  Creative vision + execution + reporting.

  • Content creation
  • Ongoing posting of stories, posts, reels
  • Responding to messages
  • Managing outreach to our design community
  • Paid advertising – strategy / implementation / analysis.
  • Research and upkeep of other platforms, including LinkedIn, Wescover, 1stDibs and others.
  • Ongoing reporting & analytics to determine efficacy of strategies.

 

EMAIL NEWSLETTERS / WEB PROJECTSCreation of our weekly email newsletter

  • Updating our blog page
  • Updating web cover
  • Creating email signatures
 
DESIGNER COMMUNITY
  • Ongoing outreach to our designer community to work with them on projects such as email takeovers, cross promotion, content creation, gathering of install photography, etc.
  • Influencer Strategy – creation and implementation of
  • Strategic Partnerships – creation and implementation of
  • Networking / attending design events in NYC / CT
  • Manage quarterly and seasonal gifts to designers

 

EVENTS / SHOWROOM / PRESS / PR & MARKETING

  • Creation of showroom events throughout the year
  • Small brand collaborations / popups
  • Reaching out to press for product launches
  • Research / implementation of other advertising & marketing efforts to come.
  • Help to create ongoing thank-you packages, and various collateral materials as needed.

DAYS & HOURS

Ideally, this person would work Tuesday through Saturday, with Saturday spent in our Greenwich showroom.  We have found that working with customers – even for a short period of time – helps the person absorb our product details and business goals in a more meaningful manner.

The workweek would be a combination of in person and remote, likely with 1 weekday in Greenwich weekly, 1 day in Tribeca bi-weekly, and the remaining days remote.

COMPENSATION

Commensurate with experience.  Package to include medical, health, dental, 401K and generous vacation.
