Drop System Chandelier DS.29.01
The DS.29.01 Drop System Chandelier is part of Lindsey Adelman’s striking new Drop System, which uses a joint to allow the rods to dip and dangle gracefully with the force of gravity, playing in spaces both vertical and horizontally while maintaining a structural composure. The slender tubes look as though they’ve been salvaged from the sea, and are dotted with pearls compromised of small blown glass droplets illuminated with warm LEDs. The Drop System references organic urbanism, and is available in brushed brass, mottled brass, oil-rubbed bronze, tarnished nickel, and luna. The mottled brass and tarnished nickel finishes are both oxidized and hand-rubbed, lending depth and deeper storytelling to the sleek hardware, while luna provides an unexpected alternative for our metal components. The effect of this new finishing technique is subtle and matte while retaining a layered richness inspired by the illuminated surface of the moon.
